Business advisory firm Deloitte has appointed Andy Lees as a partner in its financial services team. He joins from Capgemini, the French management consulting corporation, where he was UK chief executive of its financial services business. Prior to this, Andy worked for Atos Consulting as a managing partner, after spending many years at KPMG in its IT advisory business. At Deloitte, Andy will advise general insurance and retail banking companies on how they can change their businesses to better use new technology and digital strategies.
Rory McPherson has been appointed to the newly created role of head of investment strategy at Psigma Investment Management. He joins from Russell Investments where he was a multi-asset portfolio manager for the past 10 years.
Sainsbury’s Bank has announced the appointment of David Jones as chief customer officer. His appointment will see him lead the bank’s newly formed customer division, bringing together trading and marketing teams, and join the bank’s board of directors.
James Ellison has been appointed as head of operations, a subsidiary of financial advisory company deVere Group. James joins Workplace Solutions from JLT Employee Benefits, where he held the position of project operations manager.
Retail systems integrator and managed services provider Tryzens has appointed Tom Fischer as its new sales and marketing director and secured growth investment from Scottish Equity Partners. This will enable it to confidently pursue its strategy of delivering world class systems integration and managed services to the retail and B2B commerce markets. Tom recently served as chief executive of Prologic, a provider of ERP solutions for fashion retailers. Prior to Prologic, Fischer was divisional manager of SAP’s UK retail business, notably growing software licence revenues during the recession.
Vincent Keaveny and Mark Dwyer have joined DLA Piper’s financial markets practice. Vincent’s practice is divided into the three core areas of securitisation, structured finance and derivatives. He advises arrangers, originators and rating agencies on transactions in the UK and across Europe. Vincent has also worked on traditional and synthetic securitisations and residential and commercial mortgage-backed deals. Mark has a broadly based financing practice which, in addition to derivatives and capital markets, includes investment grade and leveraged financings as well as structured finance transactions. During his career, Mark has acted for a range of listed and privately owned companies and has worked on significant financing transactions for approximately 20 of the current FTSE 350 companies.
