Scott McCubbin has been appointed IPO leader for the UK & Ireland at the professional services firm. He has been at the firm for 10 years, most recently as transaction advisory services partner. McCubbin has particular experience negotiating the IPO process for FTSE and Aim clients.
Cantor Fitzgerald Europe
The financial services group has appointed Philip Dixon as chief operating officer. He was previously chief operating officer and compliance officer at Hume Capital Securities. Dixon has also held senior roles at Nomura Code Securities, Panmure Gordon and WestLB Panmure.
New Quadrant Partners
The private client law firm has announced three new appointments. Simon Newsham joins as partner. He has had his own corporate law firm, and has also held roles at Dorsey & Whitney and Winckworth Sherwood. Ray McCann joins as a partner from Pinsent Masons, where he led its private wealth tax practice. McCann has also held roles at HMRC and PwC. Finally, Robert Smeath joins as a partner from Clarke Willmott, where he was partner specialising in lifetime tax and succession planning.
Grainger
The residential property business has appointed Helen Gordon as chief executive designate. She is currently global head of real estate asset management at RBS. Gordon has also held senior roles at Legal & General Investment Management, Railtrack, and John Laing Developments and Property Ventures.
Cabot Square Capital
The financial services private equity investor has announced three promotions. Tarun Sharma, Richard McDougall and Lawrence Small all become partners. Sharma joined Cabot Square in 2008, and has also held roles at HSBC and Blackstone. McDougall joined in 2006. He has also held roles at Burlington Consultants and Deloitte. Small joined in 2004. He has previously held positions at Clifford Chance.
Seddons
Toby Hales has been appointed partner in the law firm’s family team. He joins Seddons from Hodge, Jones & Allen. Hales has 20 years’ experience in family matters, including in adoption, divorce, financial and children issues. He has acted as an adviser to the Archbishops Council in formulating domestic violence policy.
