Cavendish Corporate Finance
The sell-side advisory firm has appointed four people to its corporate finance team. Kate Gribbon (pictured) joins as associate director from Deloitte Corporate Finance, where she worked in its consumer business M&A advisory team. David Harris joins as senior researcher from PwC, where he worked in M&A research. Victoria Clarke joins as an executive from Fidelity Worldwide Investment. Finally, Nathan Harroch joins as an analyst.
Wedlake Bell
James Castro-Edwards has been appointed partner in the law firm’s data protection and data privacy team. He joins from PwC Legal’s cyber security team, where he managed data protection compliance projects for multinational clients. Castro-Edwards has also held roles at Speechly Bircham and Mizuho International.
Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking
The bank has appointed two people to its London and South mid-markets division. Rebecca Wicks joins as relationship director from Lloyds Bank Trade Finance, where she was director of trade sales. She has also held roles at Barclays and Europe Arab Bank. Gavin Potter joins as business development director, and most recently worked in business development at PwC.
Milbank
The law firm has announced the appointment of two oil and gas partners to its projects and energy practice in London. Matthew Hagopian and Manzer both join from Linklaters, where they have been partners in its energy and projects group since 1999.
World Platinum Investment Council
Marcus Grubb has been appointed director of market development at the physical platinum investment market authority. He joins from the World Gold Council, where he was its global investment strategist and led its investment team. Grubb was also founding chief executive of Swapstream, and has held senior positions at Rabobank, UBS, Salomon Brothers and SBC Warburg.
Scipion Capital
The commodity trade finance investment manager has appointed Taran Bains to head up its sales and marketing function. She began her career in 1997 with Baring Asset Management, before moving to become a senior analyst for a multi-family office’s single strategy hedge fund range. Bains has also held roles at Standard & Poor’s, Coutts, and UBS Wealth Management.
