Cam’s many T-shirt tantrums
POOR David Cameron had to defend himself more than once yesterday. There was his run-in with a protester in Leeds, who turned out to be a jogger accidentally running into the PM. All that on the back of his T-shirt tussle with Elle magazine.
Cameron’s refusal (or five reported refusals) to wear the Fawcett Society printed tee, which says “this is what a feminist looks like,” caused a storm, as Elle et al accused the PM of having an issue with the word feminist.
The Adam Smith Institute (ASI) was quick off the mark to smell an opportunity, emailing Number 10 to ask if DC would wear a Milton Friedman T-shirt. Unsurprisingly, the ultra-liberal think tank is still awaiting a reply and is said to be “scandalised” by the lack of response.
