Lockdown has been challenging for companies and their staff alike – whether working from home or furloughed – City AM like all businesses, has faced many of the same challenges, as we all try to navigate this crisis.
But amidst these difficult days, plenty have gone above and beyond, to ensure their companies are able to deliver for their customers and team members alike. These ‘Business Heroes’ come in all shapes and sizes – from the person who taught everyone how to use Zoom in April, to the IT staff facilitating remote working and the managers, religiously calling their furloughed staff to check in on them. We know every business, large or small has a team member who fits the ‘Business Hero’ mantle and many of these stories have been shared with us over the last 12 weeks.
To that end, as the UK is starting to reopen – and not before time – City AM wanted to celebrate those employees who have shone so brightly during lockdown. Together with Harrods Corporate Service, we have teamed up to find those ‘Business Heroes’ and give them the treat they deserve. I know all members of our City AM team have all ‘stepped up’ during lockdown – so I would urge you to celebrate your own team members and enter them into the City AM Business Heroes 2020 #BusinessHeroes
You can nominate your hero below and together with Harrods Corporate Service, we will select 10 ‘Business Heroes’ to receive a Harrods Gift Card to the value of £200.
As well as the Harrods Gift Card, we will be publishing as many of our favourite entries in City AM’s first newspaper back from lockdown on September 7th. Please your submit your entries by September 2nd to give your ‘Business Heroes’ a chance to feature.
Every business story during lockdown is different and every experience individual – so we have no strong criteria for this – but I hope it might become an annual event, celebrating ‘Business Heroes’ from amongst City AM readers – although not always in these circumstances!
