Bulls chief McNamara replaces Smith as new England coach
BRADFORD BULLS boss Steve McNamara has been named England coach.
The 38-year-old will succeed Tony Smith, who stepped down after leading the side to the final of the Four Nations last year.
McNamara served as Smith’s assistant for three years and will take over the role at the end of Bradford’s Super League season.
His first match in charge will be the international against France on 12 June before then leading the Four Nations campaign in October against Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
Rugby Football League chief executive Nigel Wood said: “It was clear that Steve was the right man for the job.”
