Branislav Ivanovic calls on Chelsea players to stick together following consecutive league defeats
Defender Branislav Ivanovic has urged the Chelsea squad to stick together after their early-season wobble continued with Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Arsenal.
The result condemned the Blues to consecutive Premier League losses, following last week’s 2-1 reverse at home to Liverpool, and came after a midweek EFL Cup scare at Leicester.
“I know it’s very disappointing and it hurts all of us, but the opinion of everyone in the dressing room was in the same direction,” said Ivanovic.

“We have to build on that, stay together, work hard, and believe in what we are doing. I am sure we can come out of it stronger. We have to stick together.”
Prior to their recent slump Chelsea had made a promising start to life under new manager Antonio Conte, and Ivanovic is convinced they will become a major force again once they grasp his instructions.
“Our way of playing has changed a bit and you always need time,” he added.
“In the last two games it has not been the usual Chelsea way, but if it starts working it will be very good for us. We will be very, very dangerous.”
