Borough High Street on lockdown as police officers assess “suspicious” vehicle
Borough High Street is open again, after being put on lockdown this morning as police officers assessed a suspicious vehicle in the area.
Police were called to the busy central London street at around 7.50am, and the surrounding area was cleared, with workers evacuated from office buildings on Borough High Street.
A Met Police spokesperson has since confirmed that officers had been stood down as the vehicle was declared "non-suspicious".
