Boris expands his mayoral team
Mayor of London Boris Johnson yesterday appointed more members to his team as he prepares for a second term in office. Conservative London Assembly member Victoria Borwick has been announced as his deputy mayor, replacing Richard Barnes who lost his seat in last Thursday’s election. Fellow Assembly member James Cleverly has become London’s fire chief, replacing Brian Coleman while Isabel Dedring retains her transport brief. But question marks remain over the role of Stephen Greenhalgh, who had been lined up to take over as deputy mayor for policing. There are concerns that he may have to resign his seat on Hammersmith and Fulham council before taking office.
