Boeing hiring a new captain
US PLANE maker Boeing has elected Dennis Muilenburg as the company’s 10th chief executive, succeeding W. James McNerney, Jr, who has been at the helm for the past decade.
Muilenburg, who has served as Boeing president and chief operating officer since 2013, becomes president and CEO on 1 July.
McNerney, who joined Boeing’s board in 2001, will continue as its chairman and, to aid succession, will keep working for the company until he retires in February next year.
