Blades storm to last eight
A LAST-GASP brace from Sheffield United striker Chris Porter dumped Nottingham Forest out of the FA Cup 3-1 yesterday and set up a potential Steel City derby in the quarter-final.
Forest, fifth in the Championship, took the lead on 28 minutes through Jamie Paterson, but Conor Coady levelled for the Blades midway through the second half.
With a replay looming, Porter netted a penalty in stoppage time, then tapped in again moments later.
Nigel Clough’s team, 22nd in League One, will now meet either Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton at Bramall Lane in the next round.
