Blacks Leisure pushes CVA plans
Outdoor goods company Blacks Leisure said yesterday it had finalised the terms of its £42.5m restructuring plan and secured the support of its bank to help keep the firm in business. The plan will seek a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) in a bid to save nearly 4,300 jobs and exit 89 of its closed stores. In a bid to appease disgruntled landlords, the company has created a compensation pot of £7.25bn for those who agree to the scheme.
