Bjorkman not Mauresmo set for Murray hard court season
BRITAIN’S Andy Murray is working more closely with Swedish former player Jonas Bjorkman as he admits his union with Amelie Mauresmo faces an uncertain future.
Bjorkman, 43, is set to be the main presence in Murray’s corner in Munich this week as the world No3 begins his clay court campaign at the BMW Open and he, not main coach Mauresmo, is likely to accompany the Scot during the hard court season, as the former women’s world No1 is due to give birth in August.
“I’m going to spend the whole stretch through to the end of the US Open with Jonas,” he said.
“Then I’ll see what happens with Amelie because I don’t know, and I don’t think she knows, what her priorities are going to be.”
