BILL OF THE WEEK
GARLIC lobster, seabass, crispy squid, Beijing duck and platters of abalone – a sea snail delicacy – were all on the £2,071.90 menu for these lucky diners last week, as they gazed out over Hyde Park from the luxurious confines of Min Jiang, on the 10th floor of Kensington’s Royal Garden Hotel.
As well as tending to their waistlines, the group also guzzled down the restaurant’s finest wines. They started with the requisite Louis Roederer Cristal and moved on to a 2002 Corton Charlemagne and Chateau Margaux 1985, before finishing with a Chateau Guiraud Sauternes 1995 with dessert.
