Barclays suffers”technical issues” as some customers are unable to access cash
Barclays has suffered technical problems which have prevented customers from accessing their accounts.
The bank told customers on Twitter that it was experiencing issues with some of its services on Saturday morning, but still had "high volumes of customers" calling on Sunday morning.

Some customers tweeted the bank to say that they were unable to withdraw cash from ATMs while others reported that they were unable to use other services when calling the bank and were told "systems are down".
Barclays said some of its network systems had gone down, in addition to scheduled maintenance planned around the clocks going back, but everything was now back up and running. Customers are being advised to use online banking or the Barclays app for a speedier service due to the high number of calls customer service had to respond to.
"We can confirm that customer services are now recovering from the outage we experienced yesterday. We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused,” said a Barclays spokesperson.
