Autonomy sees revenues rise 7pc as market picks up
BRITISH software firm Autonomy posted a seven per cent rise in earnings in the second quarter, after seeing a “gentle” improvement in the market, giving it confidence about the year ahead.
Chief Executive Mike Lynch said that the group’s customers, which include multinationals and governments, were positive but still cautious.
“Overall we face the rest of the year with a strong balance sheet, and in light of the continuing macro recovery, we are confident in our ability to continue to deliver strong growth for the full year.”
The company, whose software searches and organises unstructured data like emails and telephone calls, posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.28 on 13 per cent higher revenue of $221.1m (£145m).
Growth at the company, which won business from Kraft, Morgan Stanley and Sainsbury’s in the quarter, has been driven by tougher compliance demands as well as acquisitions, and it has raised money for deals in the second half.
