Arsene Wenger predicts 82-86 points will be enough to win the Premier League this season
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the magic number of points that he believes will be enough to secure the club a first Premier League title since 2004.
With three teams – Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool – locked at the top of the table on 20 points after nine games, Wenger has predicted that the champions will finish on 82-86 points.
"The first trend is set: three teams on 20 points. The championship will be decided by 82-86 points," he told Arsenal's AGM on Monday.

"Every game is a fight.That means we have to be really focused on details. We have an important month in front of us – the end of October and November could be important moment for us – and the fact that we get our injuries back and everyone on board will play a part."
Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday but City failed to take advantage 24 hours later as they drew 1-1 with Southampton.
The Gunners face Reading next in an EFL Cup tie on Tuesday evening. A difficult run of fixtures next month includes games against Tottenham, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
