Arsenal misery compounded by Henry fan row
ARSENAL striker Thierry Henry’s emotional Gunners comeback turned sour last night after he was involved in incident with a fan following his side’s damaging 3-2 defeat against Swansea.
Henry, who was introduced as a 63rd minute substitute, was unable to help his team rescue a point and then appeared to react angrily to a comment made by a supporter housed in the away end.
A club source confirmed that an exchange had taken place but insisted that the former France striker had merely told the fan to “support your team”.
Henry, Arsenal’s all-time record goalscorer, returned to the club earlier this month after a five-year absence having agreed a six-week loan deal from MLS side LA Galaxy.
The 34-year-old marked his second club debut last Monday by scoring the only goal in Arsenal’s FA Cup third round win over Leeds at Emirates Stadium.
