WHOEVER said banks were too macho? Goldman Sachs revealed some preference for the trend of flavoured beers in its US alcohol outlook this week, claiming that flavourisation is helping beer to stay relevant with the current consumers. The bank’s analysts praised Bud Light “Rita”, which comes in Strawberry flavour, as well as MillerCoors’ Apple Ale and soon to be launched Coors Light Summer Brew. Well folks, hopefully we’ll see you down BrewDog for one of its Raspberry Revolvers.
WE HEAR that those City talking heads planning to appear on the BBC’s Wake Up To Money will have to wake up even earlier from this coming Monday. The show, which has featured the likes of Legal & General’s chief exec Nigel Wilson, Aberdeen Asset Management’s CIO Anne Richards and the Bank’s own Paul Fisher, is starting a quarter of an hour earlier, at an eyelid drooping 5.15am. Ouch. But it does mean the City will get an extra 15 minutes of fame…
