Any Other Business – 22/01
BORIS Johnson’s underling Kit Malthouse gave away some interesting restaurant tips at a breakfast event for the Mayor’s Fund For London and the Berkeley Foundation yesterday.
The event was to celebrate the launch of “Creativity Works” which aims to help young Londoners into creative jobs – the deputy mayor reminisced about his own career journey which involved a somewhat creative role as a junior chef.
He told how each time he would ask the head chef what the soup was – his answer would always be “cream of yesterday.”
“One thing I’ve learnt is never to ask for soup on a Monday as you get cream of the weekend.”
Cue chuckles throughout the room. Luckily it was croissants and orange juice on the menu.
