ANALYST VIEWS: WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF TALKTALK’S FIGURES?
MORTEN SINGLETON | INVESTEC
Full-year results were a bit of a mixed bag, but on balance perhaps slightly more positive than negative. Revenue and subscriber numbers continue to disappoint but cost and profit progression and dividend upgrades provide the counter balance. ‘Hold’ retained.

These figures are very close to outlook especially on cashflow generation and with Ebitda ahead of my outlook. There is also an improvement in margin. The Tiscali integration is materially complete and it will now concentrate on trying to improve its quad-play. Overall I’m comfortable with this direction.
MANOJ LADWA | ETX
The management at TalkTalk have done a fantastic job as they achieved significant savings from the Tiscali integration while growing the broadband business. Investors will not be fazed by the flat outlook for 2012, as the business is being pushed forward from a much more solid base.
