Analyst Views: What do you make of BSkyB’s third quarter set of results?
PAUL RICHARD | NUMIS
We retain our view that Sky is making excellent operational progress, particularly in connected TV services, and we see considerable opportunity in new initiatives including AdSmart and Sky Store, though the Premier League auction continues to overhang the shares.
STEVE LIECHTI | INVESTEC
Sky’s third quarter results are mostly as expected with the telco subdued given the tough competition, but also with good total product, connected services, on demand growth, and pay-TV net additions. Competition limits the scope for Sky upgrades… when/if the accelerated Premier League auction starts.
MARK O’DONNELL | JP MORGAN CAZENOVE
Sky reported good nine-month results with an adjusted earning per share that was ahead of consensus, and strong operating metrics overall. On the content side, the Sky has signed a new multi-year agreement with Paramount, which again reassures in light of potential over the top competition.
