Analyst views: What do the New Zealand losses mean for Catlin?

The loss is relatively small scale at 7p per share after tax. Catlin is so far one of the few UK stocks to have published an estimate for the New Zealand earthquake.

I’m not surprised to see the New Zealand losses going up. It will probably affect Catlin’s figures but I don’t think it will have a fundamental impact.
