ABERCROMBIE & FITCH BUCKS RETAIL WOES
TEEN retailer Abercrombie and Fitch has beaten profit estimates for the fourth time in a row. Sales have been recovering since 2010, driven by international sales and a gain in market share after it lowered prices. In the first quarter, sales rose 22 per cent to $836.7m, helped by a 64 per cent increase in international revenue. Abercrombie reported a profit of $25.1m.
