Ideal Shopping Direct stakeholders mull sale
THE founders of Ideal Shopping Direct are considering selling their 35 per cent stake in the home shopping channel group to cash in on a near doubling of the firm’s shares in the last year, the Sunday Times said.
Paul Wright and Val Kaye could get more than £20m for their stake in the AIM-listed firm, which runs the Ideal World and Create and Craft television channels, the newspaper said.
Ideal Shopping Direct sells via both TV channels and the internet. Its main channel, Ideal World, is broadcast on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat. It also has three other channels on Sky.
Yesterday a spokeswoman for the company said no decision on a sale had been taken.
