Yamauchi set a new course record of one hour, nine minutes and 17 seconds and succeeds fellow Briton Paul Radcliffe as winner. ROOKIE DAVIES LANDS FIRST TITLE
GOLF: Welshman Rhys Davies clinched his maiden European Tour title with a dazzling final round at the Hassan Trophy in Morocco.

Rookie Davies, a former Walker Cup amateur team-mate of Rory McIlroy, carded a seven-under-par final round of 66 to win the tournament by two shots.

The 24-year-old, who finished on 25 under par, sank eight birdies in 11 holes to reel in the overnight leader, South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen.
