ANALYST VIEWS: DID COSTA PERK UP WHITBREAD'S RESULTS?

The positive momentum seen in second quarter has continued into the second half. <br /><br /><strong>RICHARD HUNTER </strong> HARGREAVES LANSDOWN<br />With value offerings across many of its ranges, most notably Premier Inns, the cost conscious consumer&rsquo;s tendency to trade down has played into its hands. Costa has also had strong growth in sales.<br /><br /><strong>MARK BRUMBY </strong> ASTAIRE SECURITIES<br />Whitbread remains a quality company and it is delivering.&nbsp; It has few of the self-inflicted financial problems like debt that blight the rest sector and it is coming up with the goods. But the stock is not cheap
