Holy dairy free lollies, Batman: Britain's first fully vegan and free-from ice cream parlour has just opened in London
Yorica!, on Wardour Street in Soho, serves ice creams, frozen yoghurts and shakes free from the 14 main allergens, including wheat, gluten, dairy, lactose, eggs, nuts, GMO and artificial sweeteners, while their entire menu is compatible with a vegan diet.
Instead, Yorica!'s ice cream and froyo base recipe uses rick milk and coconut cream, while seaweed, used for thickening, vanilla bean paste and guar gums are among the other ingredients the parlour uses.
Flavours on offer include nut-free peanut butter, beetroot and dark chocolate, cookies and cream, chocolate and pumpkin spice and moringa.
Although there are 12 flavours at the moment the team is still experimenting and looks set to expand.
Toppings include vegan "Oreos" imported from Canada, dried dates, goji berries and raspberries.
Prices at Yorica!, located at 130 Wardour Street, Soho, range from £2.95 to £5.20. The parlour is open from 10am to 11pm on Sunday to Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday from 10am to midnight.
