State Street Global Advisors

The investment management arm of State Street has appointed Elliot Hentov as head of policy and research for its official institutions group. He joins from Standard & Poor’s, where he was a director in its sovereign ratings team. Hentov has also previously held roles at the UN.

BNY Mellon

Alan Flanagan has been appointed global head of private equity and real estate fund services at the investment firm. He was most recently global head of product management for alternative investment services at BNY Mellon. Flanagan has also held roles at UBS Fund Services (Cayman).

Insight Investment

The European investment management firm has announced two appointments to its environmental, social and governance (ESG) team. Joshua Kendall joins as ESG analyst from MSCI, where he held a similar role. Kendall has also held roles at the UNPRI. Dr Rory Sullivan joins on a consultancy basis as a strategic adviser. He was previously head of responsible investment at Insight Investment until 2009.

Misys

Simon Paris has been appointed president and chief sales officer at the financial software company. He joins from SAP, where he was most recently head of industry cloud and has also served as global head of financial services. Paris began his career at McKinsey.

Gatehouse Bank

The investment bank specialising in shariah-compliant products and services has promoted Will Innes to vice president within its real estate investment team. He joined Gatehouse in 2014, and has also held positions at Waypoint Capital and Aldar Properties PJS.

Brown Rudnick

Philip Rogers has been appointed partner and head of emerging markets, corporate at the law firm in London. He joins from Clyde & Co, where he was head of corporate. Rogers focuses on complex cross-border M&A, IPOs and joint ventures.

AIG

The insurer has appointed Nicola Ratchford as head of external communications, Europe, Middle East and Africa. She joins from Stockwell Communications, where she was a director.
