Consumer group lists demands for energy competition probe
CONSUMER rights group Which has piled more pressure on the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) by listing the criteria it will judge the CMA probe into household energy prices.
The authority will publish the results of its closely watched study into the Big Six energy providers next month.
Which says it wants remedies offered by the CMA to raise consumer engagement and introduce simplified pricing models.
The consumer rights group also says the CMA probe should ensure smaller suppliers can compete with the Big Six suppliers and deliver greater transparency over Big Six profitability.
Which also wants to improve liquidity in the market and ensure better information is provided on wholesale trading.
