London Capital Group

The online trading firm has appointed Charles-Henri Sabet (pictured) as chief executive. He was previously executive chairman of the company, and joined the board in September 2014. Charles Poncet has been appointed non-executive chairman. He was a non-executive director of the firm.

Old Mutual Global Investors

The asset management firm has appointed John Peta as head of emerging market debt. He joins from Threadneedle Asset Management, where he was fund manager, head of emerging market debt. Peta started his career in fixed income at Merrill Lynch, and has also held positions at Chancellor LGT Asset Management, Standish Mellon Asset Management, and Acadian Asset Management.

Ageas UK

The insurance firm has announced the appointment of Ant Middle as chief executive of Ageas Retail. He joined the firm in 2014, and has over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Middle will also join the UK executive and Ageas UK board.

ACE Group

The multiline property and casualty insurer has announced two appointments within its global accounts segment. Ed Gandon becomes casualty manager for UK & Ireland. He joined ACE in 2013 as senior casualty underwriter, and has also held positions at Marsh and Chubb. Gary Etherington becomes property manager for UK & Ireland. He joined ACE in 2008 as senior property underwriter, and has also held roles at RSA.


David Evans has been appointed solicitor in the law firm’s industrial disease department. He previously spent 13 years with a trade union firm, focusing on industrial diseases, personal injury cases, and accidents at work.

Addleshaw Goddard

The law firm has announced 18 promotions to partner. In the commercial department, they include Phil McGough, Rona Bar-Isaac, and Rachel Uttley. Andy Green, Simon Wood, and Graham Cross become partners in the corporate department. Rebecca Garner and Simon Courie become finance partners, Sonia Campbell, James Herring, and Graeme Warburton litigation partners, Andrew Williamson, Andrew Martin, Gary Sector, and Catherine Fearnhead, Anna Heaton, and Colette Withey real estate partners, and Mike Potter a TST partner.
