Swann eager to turn the screw
CRICKET: England spinner Graeme Swann insists he and his team-mates are far from done with tormenting India yet. England head into the five-match one-day series on the back of an overwhelming 4-0 Test victory which they followed up on Wednesday night with victory in a one-off Twenty20 clash at Old Trafford. Swann said: “The summer has gone great for us so far and we’ll be hoping to carry that on into the one-day series,” he said. “It’s not our place to feel sympathy for the opposition.”
Moody upbeat over his fitness
RUGBY UNION: Patched up England captain Lewis Moody is confident he’ll be fit to lead his country in their World Cup opener against Argentina next Saturday. “The target is still next week and playing against Argentina,” said the Bath flanker. “Everything at the minute says we are on the right path. Everyone has been very confident and I am happy at how it has gone.”
