London bids for Paralympic event
GENERAL: London has submitted a bid to host the 2017 Paralympic World Championships. It came as UK Sport announced plans to bring more than 70 major sporting events to Britain to support athletes before the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and build on the popularity of London 2012.
