ED BREWSTER MAKES A START ON HIS LATEST PR ADVENTURE
FORMER Pru spinner Ed Brewster has made an appearance at giant telecoms event Mobile World Congress. Brewster is now tasked with looking after PR for Chinese behemoth Huawei as it attempts to conquer the consumer handset market. Attempting to break Apple and Google’s stranglehold over the industry may seem like a tall order but it’s surely a walk in the park after the disaster that was the Pru’s failed takeover of AIA group. He could learn a thing or two from the marketing team over at Apple, who managed to steal the thunder from Google chairman Eric Schmidt yesterday by sending out invites to what is expected to be the iPad 3 launch just minutes after the search boss took to the stage.
