Democrats brace for beating
The Republican Party is forecast to clear out the Democratic majority in the US House of Representatives during midterm elections tomorrow, with a “tsunami” of Republican support to sweep out a dozen senior Democrats in the south. However, the Senate is expected to remain in Democratic hands, providing some relief for President Barack Obama. It is not clear what impact the election will have on key decisions affecting government finances, such as whether to renew tax cuts or how to deal with the US’s ballooning budget deficit.
