Cara Delevingne launches new Mulberry range
MULBERRY has unveiled a new collection of bags in collaboration with model Cara Delevingne, as the luxury group attempts to revive its fortunes after issuing a second profit warning in less than a year last month.
The Cara Delevingne Bag, which was launched yesterday as part of London Fashion Week, is the latest in a series of celebrity collaborations by Mulberry, which also teamed up with singer Lana Del Rey in 2012 and with model Alexa Chung in 2010.
Prices for the new range of bags, which come in three different sizes, finishes and styles, will start at £890 and go up to £2,500.
Since joining in 2012, chief executive Bruno Guillon has taken steps to raise prices and move the brand more upmarket.
But these efforts were undone over Christmas when fierce discounting and weak trading in Korea forced the group to issue a profit warning.
