Bolasie stays, says Warnock
CRYSTAL Palace manager Neil Warnock has warned top-flight rivals off trying to poach Yannick Bolasie in January after the winger helped to end the club’s five-match winless sequence.
Bolasie’s electrifying display on Sunday helped the Eagles come from behind to beat Liverpool 3-1 at Selhurst Park and climb out of the Premier League relegation zone.
“He won’t be going anywhere in January. No chance,” Warnock said. “He’s a great lad. Top clubs won’t know what he can do and what he can’t do. How can they come in for him? I think he’s made to measure for Palace – that type of club, the stage, the fans. We’ve got three games in a week. We need him to perform as he did against Liverpool in those games.”
Palace, who sit 15th in the table, tomorrow travel to seventh-placed Swansea, who they haven’t beaten in six attempts.
