Apple announces new MacBook Pro and OS
Apple yesterday announced it will unveil a new range of MacBook Pros which the firm says will be twice as powerful as the previous generation.
It packs next generation processors and graphics and will also feature the firm’s new Thunderbolt technology, a port that allows transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps.
It has a glass multi-touch trackpad and built-in HD camera for use with Apple’s FaceTime video calling software. Prices will start at around £1,000.
Apple also previewed the new version of its operating system, OS X Lion. This will borrow heavily from the innovations made for the iPad, including full integration of apps across all Apple devices.
