Evox
Evox Therapeutics , a leading exosome therapeutics company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Edwin Moses as non-executive chairman. Edwin will bring a wealth of experience to Evox, as the Company continues to grow its pipeline of pioneering exosome-based therapeutics. Edwin is a highly respected executive with over 30 years’ experience in the life sciences sector. He joins Evox following 12 years as chief executive officer (CEO) of Ablynx, which was acquired by Sanofi for $4.8bn (£3.65bn) earlier this year, delivering significant shareholder value and overseeing approval of its first product, indicated for a a rare blood disease. During his tenure, he led two successful IPOs on Euronext and Nasdaq respectively, as well as presiding over workforce growth from fifty people to almost five-hundred. Prior to this, he was CEO and Executive Chairman of Oxford Asymmetry International (OAI) where he oversaw a series of venture rounds and an IPO on the London Stock Exchange, valuing the company at £120m. In 2000, Edwin led the £316m merger of OAI with Evotec Biosystems. Between Ablynx and OAI, Edwin has successfully raised over €500m (£450.95m) in equity and debt financing.
DAZN
DAZN, the world’s first pure sport live and on-demand streaming service, has announced that Ben King is joining the company as senior vice-president for global distribution and business development to drive its global expansion. King joins DAZN in February from Apple where, over his 12-year tenure, he worked at the forefront of some of the world’s most successful digital entertainment and media services including the iTunes Store, App Store and Apple Music. Most recently, as commercial director for international services, Ben had responsibility for business insights, business development, strategic partnerships and content licensing outside the US and played a pivotal role in driving the growth of Apple Music as it raced to 50 million subscribers in just three years.Based in London, Ben joins DAZN to help drive growth strategy and build best-in-class commercial and distribution partnerships.
Square Mile
Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research (Square Mile) has appointed John Lester as a business development director bolstering its sales team. He joins from Investec Asset Management where he was sales director of strategic partnerships for six years. At Square Mile, John will be responsible for developing consulting business and managed portfolio services with financial advisers, life companies and platforms, as well as managing client relationships.
