Hastings Insurance

The insurance firm has announced the appointment of Richard Hoskins as its group chief financial officer. He joins from AIG, where he was chief financial officer of its global commercial insurance business and the Americas region. Hoskins has also held roles at Aviva Group.

Euler Hermes UK

The credit insurance firm has appointed Valerio Perinelli as its UK chief executive. He joined in 1997, and has held senior positions in both Italy and France. In addition, both Anil Berry and Gordon Cessford become members of Euler Hermes’s market management commercial and distribution executive team.

State Street Corporation

Alex Lawton has been appointed senior managing director and head of securities finance for State Street Global Markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He has nearly 20 years’ experience in financial services, and previously served as head of equity finance and equity prime services at Barclays. Lawton has also held roles at Bank of America and Dresdner Kleinwort.

Standard Chartered

Marios Maratheftis has been appointed chief economist, global at the bank. He joined in 2002 as an economist and senior FX strategist in London. In addition, Ding Shuang has been appointed head of greater China economic research. He joins from Citigroup, where he was senior China economist. Shuang has also held positions at the IMF.

Fitch Learning

Kate Lander has been appointed managing director, client solutions, Europe at the learning and development solutions provider. She was previously head of education for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at CFA Institute. Lander has also held financial services roles at Northern Trust Global Investments and JP Morgan.

Barnett Waddingham

The self-administered and self-invested pensions provider has appointed James Jones-Tinsley as a SSAS and SIPP technical specialist within its team. He joins from Pearson Jones, where he was pensions technical manager. In his new role, Jones-Tinsley will deal with technical enquiries from clients.
