The luxury property developer has appointed Graham Weiss to its board as a non-executive director. He was previously managing director of Octagon Developments, and has over 30 years’ experience in the UK luxury property industry.
Hitachi Capital (UK)
The financial services firm has appointed Robert Gordon as chief executive. He joined Hitachi Capital (UK) in 2006 as managing director for business finance, and has also served as its group finance director and chief operating officer. Gordon has over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry.
Alastair McKay has been appointed general counsel at the specialist Lloyd’s underwriter. He qualified as a solicitor in 2003, and previously worked on (re)insurance matters at Baker & McKenzie. McKay has also held roles at Aspen Re.
The mutual life, pensions and investment company has appointed Philip Green as chair of its Independent Governance Committee. He was responsible for the overall operations of the Life Insurance Market Research Associations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa until 2013, and has also held positions at AIG.
The law firm has announced the appointment of Nick Williams as a partner in its London corporate team. He joins from Edwin Coe, and has over 30 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, corporate finance, flotations, joint ventures, corporate governance, and funds.
The communications agency has launched a healthcare practice and appointed Fiona Cohen to lead it. She was formerly senior communications director at Baxter Healthcare, and has also held positions at Roche and MSL Group.
The investment management firm has announced the appointment of Fabian Wallmeier as director institutional Switzerland. He joins from Fidelity, where he was director and head of institutional business for Switzerland. Wallmeier has over 20 years’ experience in the industry.
