YouGov encouraged by results
Polling company YouGov’s results for the year ending 31 July are in line with the board’s expectations, with operating profit “significantly ahead” of 2009, it said yesterday. Last year saw major re-structuring work in the Scandinavian business which led to profitability in the second half of the year, along with encouraging performances in the UK and the US. Its turnover fell by six per cent to £21.3m and operating profit fell by 15 per cent to £1.35m in the opening six months before rallying since Christmas. The firm will report its preliminary full-year results in October, the trading statement said.
