YEUNG PLANS 40M SPENDING SPREE
NEW Birmingham City owner Carson Yeung has vowed to invest up to £40m on players in the January transfer window. The Hong Kong businessman fronted the media for the first time since completing his £81.5m takeover of the club a week ago and offered his backing to manager Alex McLeish. “I will talk to Alex about his needs first,” Yeung said. “My first plan is to support the club with £20m to £40m.”
