TRAVEL NOTES
Go adventuring in Canada
Some people like beaches and relaxation for their summer getaway, while others like a tent, a rucksack and some epic scenery to hike across. If the latter’s your bag, the Canadian wilderness may be your dream destination. Travel company TrekAmerica is offering up to 20 per cent discounts on its Canada tours, which can include whale watching, hiking through national parks, canoe trips and bungee jumping. A Canadian Pioneer tour, departing June 20, costs £688 for 14 days of spectacular adventure. 0845 863 8214, www.trekamerica.co.uk
Special rates for a Parisian getaway at the Hotel Square
It may be called the Hotel Square, but this chic little boutique in the French capital is anything but. A place of smart, contemporary style with only 22 rooms, it’s the essence of Parisian cool, with an art exhibition space, a sophisticated restaurant and indulgent spa. The hotel is offering a special weekend rate of €260 per room per night (a saving of €170) based on two sharing a Square Room with continental breakfast, late check out at 4pm and bicycles at guests’ disposal, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 20 June. www.hotelsquare.com
Take the family to St Lucia’s most beautiful resort
Most of St Lucia’s luxury resorts crowd around the northern part of the Caribbean island, but Anse Chastanet has been occupying it’s own glorious cove on the western coast for three decades. It’s a heavenly slice of St Lucian beauty, with individual villas nestled in the tropical hillside above a perfect beach. Caribtours is offering seven nights at Anse Chastanet from £5,534 per family (based on a family of four with teenage children) on an all inclusive basis, including BA flights and transfers. 020 7751 0660, www.caribtours.co.uk
