Sturridge may miss Reds trip
LIVERPOOL are sweating over the fitness of striker Daniel Sturridge as they look to clinch their first topflight title for 24 years.
The former Chelsea player, the leading English scorer in the Premier League with 20 goals, strained a hamstring in Sunday’s 3-2 victory over Manchester City and is a doubt for the weekend trip to Norwich. “A small strain was detected following a scan,” the club said in a statement on Sturridge.
“The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road.”
Liverpool could be a point behind Chelsea when they visit Norwich on Sunday if the Blues beat Sunderland 24 hours earlier.
