Scotland boost as Robinson signs until 2015
SCOTLAND head coach Andy Robinson has extended his contract until 2015, thus ending speculation which had linked him with a return to Premiership side Bath.
Robinson, a former England manager, has steadily improved Scotland’s fortunes since taking the job two years ago, with last autumn’s victory against world champions South Africa the standout achievement.
The 46-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to Bath, where he enjoyed an ultra successful career as a player and coach, but he has now committed to the Scottish Rugby Union until after the 2015 World Cup.
He said: “I am very proud to be the Scotland head coach and I am delighted that the great work already underway will continue until after the Rugby World Cup in 2015.”
Robinson, meanwhile, has named an unchanged side for Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations match against Wales at Murrayfield. Scotland lost their opening game 31-24 against France.
