Remy: I’ll be OK for United
CHELSEA striker Loic Remy is hopeful of recovering from a minor groin injury in time to play in Sunday’s Premier League showdown at Manchester United.
Remy scored his second Blues goal in Tuesday’s 6-0 rout of Maribor, but hobbled off moments later to join leading scorer Diego Costa on the injury list and leave boss Jose Mourinho with a forward shortage.
“I really hope it is not too bad. Fortunately I stopped playing because I felt something. I don’t think it is too bad but I felt something – my groin,” he said.
“It’s frustrating. I had a chance to play because Costa is injured but I am not afraid. I don’t think it is really bad. We will check and I really hope to play this weekend.”
