Post-merger team unveiled at Investec
INVESTEC Wealth & Investment (IW&I) yesterday unveiled a raft of fresh senior appointments as it completed the transfer of client accounts from Williams de Broë – the firm that it acquired in October last year.
The Williams de Broë brand has now been officially dropped, with the two separate businesses now fully integrated.
The group confirmed that IW&I chief Jonathan Wragg will head up the expanded business, reporting into Steve Elliott, Investec’s global head of wealth & investment. IW&I executive director Tom Street steps into the newly created role of head of investment management, with overall responsibility for IW&I’s proposition for both direct and intermediary clients.
John Haynes will continue as head of research, while Chris Hills will remain chief investment officer, and Jim Wood Smith has been appointed chief investment strategist.
The combined business is responsible for approximately £20bn of assets under management, and has 15 offices nationwide.
“We have created a stronger, better resourced business able to serve clients across the UK,” Wragg said yesterday.
