Playtech earnings up after buys
Playtech, the world’s biggest provider of online gaming software, posted a 10 per cent rise in 2010 profit and said it had acquired a group of software services businesses to drive its growth in regulated markets. Estonia-based Playtech yesterday reported adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of €103m (£87m) for 2010, helped by last year’s soccer World Cup, new licence deals with Betfair and Unibet and acquisitions.
