A collection of photographs will be exhibited together for the first time to mark the centenary of Captain Scott’s ill-fated expedition to the South Pole. The Heart of the Great Alone: Scott, Shackleton and Antarctic Photography documents dramatic landscapes, harsh conditions as well as the more lighter moments between the men on the journey. 21 October 2011-15 April 2012, The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace
